Your getaway begins with a visit to the Château de la Verrerie, in the heart of Le Creusot. This former royal crystal glassworks, later converted into a home by the glass foundry masters, offers unique insight into the history of local industry.

You'll me amazed by the gold decorations of the Petit Théâtre, an incredible auditorium occupying an old glass furnace.

Lunch at the Restaurant du Château
Head for Saint-Sernin-du-Bois, officially one of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region's little towns of character, to enjoy the delicious, fine cuisine of chef Laurent Bouthenet. After this gourmet break, take a walk around the nearby lake to enjoy the surroundings and the view over the village.

Visit to the Villa Perrusson
Head for the Valley of Ceramics! On the banks of the central canal, the Villa Perrusson showcases ceramic creations from the olden days, truly gems of local craftsmanship.
Here, facades, roofs and even interiors are covered in enamelled bricks, moulded decorations and tiling. A unique example of the flourishing activity of the late 19th and early 20th century.
