The call of the forest
Do you enjoy hiking? As the season draws to a close, we invite you to give in to The Call of the Wild.
This immense novel by Jack London has fired the imagination of entire generations, as they follow the adventures of the dog Buck and his return to the wild outside the world of men, among the wolves. Beyond its breathless adventures, this text poses a dizzying question, a question that runs like a breadcrumb through all the creations of Louise Lévêque's company: how do you live your life? By combining body and spirit, perhaps? That's the purpose of the Bibliothèque vivante series of walking shows, made from a special kind of wood, since they are based in the very bodies of the artists, and transport the fictional characters into the heart of nature. This time, we'll be guided by actor Louison Alix as we move through text and landscape, headphones on, listening to Jack London and receptive to the call of our senses.
