Commanderie de la Romagne - Xavier Quenot
A commandery of the Knights Templar founded before 1144, Romagna became, at the beginning of the 14th century, a commandery of the Order of Malta
Its fortifications were reinforced at the end of the 15th century as it was a frontier fortress. After the battle of Fontaine-Française, in 1595, it received Henri IV who set up camp there. Currently restored, the drawbridge building is fitted out to welcome guests in this place where stones blend with water and woods.
